MBA Placement Trend: ecommerce, Pharma & Consulting ahead
IIM Lucknow’s placements, also known as the higher entry placement
process (HEPP). In that placement, the total batch size is 430 and about 50% of
the students are eligible for HEPP. The top recruiters in HEPP are such
as Aditya Birla Group, Amazon, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Emerson, Goldman
Sachs Asset Management, Google, HCL and ICICI Bank among others.
In IIM lucknow about 20% companies are coming first time and these
recruiters are from e-commerce, pharmaceutical, FMCG, real estate and IT
sectors. Some top companies are visiting IIM lucknow such as the Middle East,
Africa and south east Asia. There was also an increase in the number of
entrepreneurial roles offered by start-up companies operating in the e-commerce
arena. Some companies’ offer additional profiles and higher roles than those
offered in the last two years.
The placements in the field of E-commerce, IT, pharma and
consulting seem to have improved from last year. There is a good scope of FMCG,
sales and marketing companies with a lot of legacy recruiters coming in as per
the early trends. The salary of MAB candidate has gone up by 10-15% and there
has been a 20-30% increase in the number of companies in placements.
