India looking up as the most viable option for foreign education


According to a survey by banking and financial services company HSBC, it shows that the world is looking at India as one of the least expensive destinations in terms of foreign education. Whenever, we talk about the ranks, India comes eighth in terms of the best quality education. The US bagged the top rank in terms of quality in undergraduate education. According to the survey results, the overall cost of education and living abroad for a UG course India comes out least in comparison to various other countries.

According to the survey by banking and financial services company, out of all the fifteen countries India, China and Mexico have got the last position in terms of education expenses. United States has emerged as one of the top destinations in terms of best foreign education and more than 65% of the Indian parents would prefer to send their children there for higher education. HSBC surveyed around 4500 parents in the 15 different countries where the survey was conducted. The survey clearly concludes and suggests that the need of global exposure has made foreign education all the more vital even though when the expenditure of it is much higher.

According to the report, the average annual cost including university fees and living expenditure of an undergraduate international student in India is $5,642, of which $581 is university fees. This is far below the total expenditure for undergraduate students in Australia ($42,093), Singapore ($39,229) and USA ($36,564).
