CBSE Class X Exam Result 2015 to be declared on May 25th
The confusion entailing the dates for the result declaration of CBSE Board exams 2015 has now been cleared away. The sources have established that the students who have appeared for the board exams for standard X can look for their results on the official website on 25th of May. Following the trend every year, the results for candidates belonging to Chennai and Trivandrum regions are estimated to be declared first.
The candidates of Class X board exams will get their scores in Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA). The Cumulative Grade Points Average is the average of the grade points attained in all the subjects, which will, as per the Scheme of Studies, exclude the additional sixth subject.
The candidates can check the example shown below, in order to calculate the scores:
Example: The Grade Points for five subjects is:
Subject 1: 9
Subject 2: 8
subject 3: 7
Subject 4: 10
Subject 5: 9
- Step-1: Adding the grade points of all the five subjects: 9+8+7+10+9= 43
- Step- 2: Dividing the total by 5: 43/5= 8.6
- Step- 3: Multiplying by 9.5 i.e. 9.5*8.6= 81.7 per cent (overall percentage)
- For subject-wise percentage, multiplying 9.5 with the Grade Points of that particular subject.
This year, more than thirteen lakh candidates applied for the Class 10th exams. 5,55,912 aspirants are female and 8,17,941 candidates are male candidates, out of the total number of candidates. A total number of 14,047 schools participated in Class X board exams this year, which were conducted at 3,537 exam centers.
