Delhi University Received More Than 1.3 Lakhs Online Applications in Just Four Days
The list of most prominent universities of India cannot be completed without adding Delhi University to it. DU is one of the most preferred universities of India. It was endowed in 1922 by Govt. of India. The University has a tagline, “?????? ????: ??????” which means “Dedicated to Truth.” The university fulfills this line in every aspect.
Delhi University takes admission through both modes, online as well as offline. This year the online admission has begun on 28th may and will continue up to June 15. The offline application is to be started on 5th June and will end up on 15th June.
As the online application is going on, large number of students are applying to get enrolled into different courses that DU offers. Just within four days, more than 1.3 lakhs students have been registered. Out of these huge data, 68,000 students have completed the payment procedure too. In category wise division, DU has received 46,964 applications from General category, 14,106 from OBC category, 6,404 from SC category, 1,290 from ST category and 145 applications from PWD category.
The students, who have not applied yet, can register themselves by logging onto the official website of DU i.e. www.du.ac.in and following the given registration procedure. The application fee for general category is INR 100/- and for reserved categories, it is INR 50/-.
Most likely, the university is going to publish first cut-off list by 25th June 2015.
