DU Admissions: Prestigious St. Stephen’s College is to Increase Fee
The admission procedure of Delhi University has begun for undergraduate programs for the session 2015-16. The students eligible to take admission in St. Stephen’s College, Delhi will have to face minor hike in the tuition fee as well as the hostel fee.
Last year also there were changes in the college fee. It was increased approximately from Rs. 775 to Rs. 3,350 per annum. The change in the fee was distinct for different courses.
The students have to pay the entire amount of fee in three categories, tuition fee (course fee), residence fee and the mess fee. The tuition fee has been increased by Rs. 3,635 and the hostel fee is increased by 2,050 this year. Though, the mess fee has not been changed. According to DU Officials, the fee is to be charged on semester basis.
The hike in fee is only for the new admissions and will remain unchanged for the current students of St. Stephen’s College. The change in fee is applicable to the students applying for the honours courses in Economics, English, History, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Chemistry along with the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc).
The application process is as per Du norms and has begun at 28th May and will continue up to 15th June. Earlier the admissions at St. Stephen’s College were totally based on the interview but now aptitude test of 30 minutes is conducted. The students, qualifying in the exam will be called for interview scheduled from 28th June to 8th July.
