NIOS- National Institute of Open Schooling is an educational board for distance education under the Government of India. It was founded in the year of 1989. It was formerly known as National open school. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The headquarter of NIOS is located at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is known to be the largest open schooling system in the world. It is a Governmental Board of School Education. The current chairman of National Institute of Open Schooling is J. Alam. It also offers vocational courses after the high school to the students. It also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE). It also has study centers for Indian students located in the United Emirates Arab, Oman, Kuwait, Nepal, Canada and the United States. The latest news is that the NIOS has announced the Result of class 10th (2015) on 10th of June (Wednesday). Students can directly check their result through online mode. The result is available on the NIOS Board's official website – . To access the result on the website, the students are required to enter their valid 11/12 digit roll number, answer the security question and then click on Submit button to get the result. Due to heavy traffic on the website it might take 1-2 minutes to show your result. The students may face some trouble while checking their result. The website may work slow or may go down due to heavy traffic. Large number of students would be checking their results at the same time. The students are advised to keep patience and not to panic.
