All India Pre-Medical Test is conducted every year to take admission into medical and dental course programs offered by various universities across the country. Various state governments, universities, institutions and other authorities also participate into the exam. The test offers 15% merit positions in medical and dental colleges across India. This year, the test was conducted on 3rd May by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The All India Pre-Medical Test 2015 results were scheduled to be declared on 5th June and then rescheduled to be declared on 12th June and now the SC is to announce its judgment on 15th June whether the results would be declared or the board will have to re-conduct the test. This delay has left lakhs of students and their future in a jerk.
This delay is caused due to the paper leak in AIPM Test that held on 3rd May. 700 students got the answer key through their mobile phones during the exam.
The Haryana Police has arrested 27 people. Out of which, 15 are students and 3 doctors. The investigation is going on and the prime accused has not been arrested yet, but the police is trying to get him as soon as possible. In order to this, cash reward of 1 lakh has also been announced to find out the prime accused.
The vacation Bench of Justices RK Agrawal and Amitava Roy will hear the case today and then they might announce their decisions.
CBSE has filed an affidavit to the Supreme Court requesting not to cancel the examination and has stated that the culprits will be expelled. The police can continue their investigation even after the admission and steps will be taken against the students who will be proven guilty.
