UPSC To Conduct Civil Services Preliminary Test on August 23
The UPSC civil services preliminary test 2015 is scheduled to be held on August 23. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the examination. The commission has officially notified this.
The last date of acceptance of online application is June 19 and the candidates can apply through online procedure by logging onto the official website http://www.upsconline.nic.in.
The candidates need to check for the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. They must ensure that they fulfill the criteria. Only eligible candidates will get their e-Admission certificates 3 weeks before the examination. The certificate will be available on the official website of the commission www.upsc.gov.in and the students can download it and take print out. It is to be noted that no admission certificate will be sent via post.
In 2014, 452334 candidates appeared for the examination conducted on August 24, 2014. The results were declared on October 14, 2014 and 16,933 students were passed.
UPSC conducts civil services examination for recruiting Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), etc. The preliminary exam is followed by Mains and Interview.
