AIPMT Row UPDATE: 'Impossible' to Conduct Retest in 4 Weeks, CBSE Tells SC; Court to Hear Plea Tomorrow
According to the latest information revealed by CBSE, the Board has made an appeal to the Supreme Court, asking for quality time for the conduction of All India Pre Medical and Pre Dental Tests (AIPMT) 2015 re-examination. The Board has shown its concerns over the exam, has said that it is impossible for the Board as well as students to conduct the exam on a fresh note.
The Supreme Court agreed to hear the plea and has decided the day of hearing on 19 June 2015. Supreme Court took tremendous actions regarding the results of AIPMT 2015 due to several pleas and applications from the students and parents, seeking strict actions and retest in the wake of paper leak and cheating discrepancies.
Nearly 6.3 lakhs students appeared in the examination held on 3 May. Earlier, Supreme Court and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were discussing the venue and time of the examination re-conduction. The examination results were cancelled as a result of the strict actions taken by SC, and students are requested to re-appear for the exams. There is no requirement for the students to reapply.
Applicants who registered themselves for the 3 May examination are exempted from any re-application or registration. CBSE will be issuing fresh Admit Cards for them.
