FYUP scrapped, DU to start admissions for 3-year courses
Delhi University which was founded in the year of 1922 offers so many different courses to the students Like B.A, B.A (HONS), B.COM, FYUP, B.COM (HONS) etc. The latest news is that DU (Delhi University) has decided to discard FYUP Four year Under-graduate Programme) and begin admission for 3-Year programme very soon. The decision is made with the collaboration of UGC (University Grant commission).
This was the first time the DU has communicated to The UGC. The proposal was prepared by the 20- member group of Academics. According to the DU Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh’s statement, “Admission process to undergraduate programme to be conducted under scheme of courses that were in force in academic session 2012-13.” The university declared that they would give an honors degree to students under the three-year undergraduate programme. It however, added that the foundation courses (language, literature and creativity, history and culture, science and life, building mathematical ability) introduced under the FYUP would remain for the first year students.
