CAT 2015 to be announced on July 26; IIMA planning single-day testing
The notification for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 is set to be released on July 26, according to CAT 2015 Convenor Dr. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay. CAT 2015 shall be organized by IIM Ahmedabad.
The exam is expected to be held in a single-day. CAT 2014 was reduced to a 2-day testing window from a 20-day window period in 2013. The idea behind reducing the testing period is to ‘enhance the operational efficiency’ of the exam.
“For CAT 2015, at an operational level, we are planning to have it on a single-day in two-sessions rather than on two-days in four sessions like last year. This will help in enhancing operational efficiency,” CAT 2015 Convenor, Dr. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, said.
CAT is a very highly competitive exam and is valued highly among various B-Schools in India. The CAT score is used by more than 150 Business schools in India to facilitate the admission procedure to various postgraduate management courses offered by them.
