PM Modi reviews progress of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan; calls for aptitude test of school students
Based on the observations made on the progress of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called in for an aptitude test for all students and also for a wider and greater impacting interaction between the Digital India Initiative and related programmes of the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan.
He further said that each school in the country should plan its own targets, which it should aim to achieve by the onset of India’s 75th year of Independence - in the year 2022.
Advocating identification of the best teaching practices, creation of repository for the same for a wider dissemination, PM said that basic data for all school teachers must be maintained in a database, and that this should include their Aadhar numbers, email ids and mobile numbers.
