UG admissions delayed under DU SOL as varsity awaits UGC nod
Delay in UGC’s go-ahead signal for launching the admission procedure to the undergraduate courses offered at Delhi University’s School of Law (SOL) will further delay the commencement of the admission procedure for SOL this year.
SOL’s admission procedure to undergraduate courses would generally begin a few days after the opening of registration for regular UG courses and would come to an end till late September. This year, however, the schedule has already been altered twice. The commencement of application procedure was supposed to begin of June 1 which was later postponed to June 15. The deadline has already passed and still no decision has been made.
"UGC had last month asked all the open learning school universities to submit an affidavit to the board. We had submitted the details long before the deadline passed," said CS Dubey, Director, SOL.
"So, the delay is not at our end. We are just waiting for a go-ahead from the UGC," he added.
The Admission procedure for B.Com Programme and three of its honours courses – English, Political Science and B.Com – will be done through online mode whereas the application procedure for BA Programme will be conducted through both online and offline mode.
