Student from troubled Kashmir area cracks AIIMS test - Shahid Nabi
Shahid Nabi, a young man from a region in Jammu and Kashmir that is plagued with militancy, cracked the AIIMS Medical entrance test and is all set to join the most prestigious medical institute of the country as a doctor. Shahid Nabi is a resident of Tral. This town is located 60 km from Srinagar. Nabi has also secured eighth rank in the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET).
This has raised the excitement and happiness of the people of his village, Baragam. Tral is an extremely sensitive region that has always been a hotbed of militancy. Nabi never lost focus on his studies even though he lived in such sensitive environment. He knew his priority, which was to join the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
“It was never too difficult for me to achieve this goal as I was focused”, said Nabi.
The declaration of JKCET was done on Saturday night by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations. The JKCET exam was conducted in the month of May and more than 28,000 candidates appeared in the exam.
