Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted on one day this year
According to the current scenario, this year, CAT or Common Admission Test has again brought a change in its testing pattern, from stretching over to one-week to two days in four sessions to one day, with two sessions now only.
The Convener of CAT 2015, IIM Ahmedabad took the liberty and announced this update. Accordingly, the number of exam centers has been changed from 99 to 115, and female candidates will be allotted exam centers closer to their locality or area.
This new framework has been approved by CAT authorities, with citing the reason that this new initiative will contribute in improving the operative competence and quality of the assessment content. This one-day schedule will allow transparency in scoring and standardization of marks, i.e. granting scores based on the difficulty level of the test.
Every year, over 2 lakh students appear for this exam, conducted under the judiciary of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other top management institutes across the country.
