MBA Degree Helps Double Salary Package: Survey
According to a global survey by Graduate Management Admission Council, B-School graduates report a significant rise in salary offers over their pre-degree levels. The GMAC survey says that there is an average increase of 90 per cent in salary offers made to them over their pre-degree salary.
The survey was conducted among 3.320 graduate management students in the class of 2015 at 112 universities in 29 countries. As per the survey, about 59 per cent of job-seeking graduate management students in the class of 2015 received an early job offer before their graduation. Domestic students are more likely to receive an early job offer as compared to the international students, the survey stated.
"In 2015, 70 per cent of domestic students seeking jobs reported an early job offer, compared with 42 per cent of job-seeking international students," said the survey.
A large number of Indian students go abroad for higher education every year. About 7 lakh students went for higher education in foreign countries, according to a study conducted by ASSOCHAM, which is a significant rise from 2.9 lakh in 2013.
