DMAT Postponed in Madhya Pradesh
The MP Dental Medical Admission Test (DMAT) has been postponed on Friday. As an outcome of the Vyapam controversy, the test that was supposed to be conducted on July 12, has been postponed as the examining authorities were apprehensive about the scanning of the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets.
The directions given by the Jabalpur bench of Madhya Pradesh high court to make sure of the scanning of 18,500 OMR sheets at respective exam centers, led to the postponement of the test by the Association of Private Dental Medical Colleges of Madhya Pradesh (APDMC).
Scanning OMR sheets the cause for the holdup
The flaws in the OMR sheets have not yet been cleared by the APDMC, say insiders. The opportunity was exploited by the MPPEB scamsters to rig the marks of hundreds of candidates in the last seven years.
June 21 was the first date scheduled for the exam, which was later postpones to July 12.
The Secretary of APDMC said that the scanning of all the OMR sheets wasn’t possible in such short span of time, so, announcement of fresh dates will be made soon.
