Hiring ban to be lifted in 28 Govt.-funded colleges in DU
The proposal for the nomination of Governing bodies in 28 Government funded colleges in Delhi University has been sanctioned by University’s Executive Council. This move will finally bring an initiation to the stalled appointments in these colleges.
All appointments in the 28 Delhi University colleges funded by the state government had been suspended till governing body members were appointed. The 28 government funded colleges in DU were asked by the state government to stop all appointments until governing bodies were setup.
University also reviewed the PhD ordinance and the new revision regarding PhD is in accordance with UGC regulation 2009 (Minimum standards and procedure for Award of PhD Degree) and UGC regulation 2010 (Minimum qualifications for Appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in Higher Education).
