AIPMT: jammers to be install by CBSE to check cheating
To ensure that students don’t resort to unfair practices during All India Pre-Medical/Pre-dental entrance test (AIPMT), the Central Board of Secondary Education is installing jammers to check use of communication devices at examination centers.
The question paper for AIPMT 2015, which was scheduled for May 3, 2015, leaked just nine minutes before the commencement of the exam on WhatsApp. This led the Supreme Court to order the administering of AIPMT again.
The students cannot carry mobile phones or any other electronic devices to the examination center; the usage of mobile phones has been barred inside the test centers. Arrangements have been put in place for frisking candidates before entering the exam center.
Carrying wallets, goggles, hair pins, bracelets, rings, hair bands, earrings, nose-pin, water bottles to the exam center is prohibited by CBSE. Instead of shoes, candidates have been asked to wear slippers. Candidates must wear T-shirts and light clothes.
Almost Rs 38 crore has been spent by CBSE for the AIPMT retest.
