Expelled IIT-Roorkee students' plea rejected by HC
The petition filed by 64 students to challenge IIT-Roorkee’s decision of expelling them for scoring less than 5 CGPA in semester examinations has been rejected by the Uttarakhand high court on Wednesday.
64 out of the 72 expelled students moved to file a petition to challenge the decision taken by the institute.
Justice Alok Singh rejected the petition filed by the 64 candidates. He however has asked the institute to reconsider its decision of expelling two students who scored more than 5 CGPA.
IIT-Roorkee shall reconsider its decision on expelling the students with more than 5 CGPA in semester examinations, as per the advice given by the court.
