Punjab University opens admissions to B.Ed. through correspondence
The University School of Open Learning (USOL) of the Punjab University (PU) has opened the admission procedure for its B.Ed. correspondence course.
To train the in-service teachers in secondary stage of education, a professional B.Ed. programme is offered through Open Distance Learning (ODL). The admissions to the same will begin till August 16.
There have been changes introduced in the eligibility criteria for B.Ed. through ODL mode this year.
To apply for B.Ed. (ODL), candidates must have entered the teaching profession on the basis of their diploma/certificate in primary/elementary teacher training and they must be wishing to improve their proficiency in the field. They must have also completed their graduation in humanities/social science/science/commerce with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or they must have a degree in engineering/technology with specialization in science and mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
