Civil Services 2015: A committee to be molded for age-relaxation
In order to organize several complicated matters like age-relaxation, eligibility, syllabus and exam pattern, a professional committee has been invented up for carrying out the selection-procedure of IAS and IPS officers.
According to the reports, Minister of State for Personnel, Jitendra Singh narrated at Rajya Sabha in a written reply, "The central government has received various representations on issues concerning the scheme of Civil Services Examination (CSE) including for relaxation in maximum age limit and setting of question papers in the regional languages in the civil services (preliminary) examination.”
The Civil Services Exam is carried out in 3 steps, Preliminary, Main and Interview, and selects the best candidates for the worthy posts of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). The CS Prelims contain two mandatory papers, Paper I and Paper II, of 200 marks each.
IAS Preliminary Examination 2015 admit card can be retrieved from the official website of UPSC now, and registered candidates are eligible to download the cards till August 23.
