DU notification: Decides to promote failed first year students, pre-condition tags along
The University of Delhi, New Delhi (DU) has taken some steps to help the students stand back on their foot, hereby providing them a chance to deliver better. The University has decided to promote the first year students who failed their 1st year with an undertaking, as per the current notice.
As it notifies, the following students from 2014-2015 UG academic sessions are allowed to apply for 2nd year/3rd semester admissions as regular students:
- Who have failed their first year examination
- Were unable to appear or were absent due to any course of reason
- Failed to fill up the examination forms
As per the condition, these students have to score at least passing marks in the 3rd and 4th semester papers along with reappearing papers from 1st and 2nd semester. Students who did not enroll are not assumed a part of this condition.
Presently, UG admissions for this year academic session 2015-16 are ongoing, and the classes have started. With the extension of admission process in some colleges, there still are chances for the students to try their luck and apply for the courses in respective DU colleges.
