Agriculture College Kishanganj and science city to be named after Dr. Kalam: Bihar Govt.
The Bihar Government has decided to name the Agriculture College at Kishanganj and the proposed science city after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, as an act of paying tribute to the ‘People’s President’.
At a cabinet meeting presided by the chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar, 36 proposals were taken up and approved, which also included this decision.
Coordination Department Principal Secretary Shishir Kumar Sinha said, “The cabinet has approved the proposal to name ‘Agriculture College, Kishanganj’ as ‘Dr. Kalam Agriculture College, Kishanganj’. It has also decided to name the proposed science city in the state capital as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science City.”
Dr. Kalam will always be seen as a role model by everyone in the country; his immense knowledge in the field of science and his life as a scientist, scholar and teacher will always be an inspiration to all.
