CAT 2015 undergoing a new scoring & equating process
With new formalities and regulations, the Common Admission Test 2015 (CAT 2015) has been allotted a date of conduction under the supervision of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad). The exam will be organized on Sunday, November 29, 2015, and will be held in two different sessions.
Now, the papers will be evaluated accordingly as per the new scoring process called Normalization. Tests being conducted in two different sets will be assessed in the two sessions of CAT 2015. In order to maintain a fair share and impartiality amongst students, the answer sheets will be subjected to the prolific process of Normalization.
This process is based on adjustments done on location, different sections and the aggregate score distributions from different methods, which will be further converted into percentiles for short-listing purposes.
CAT 2015 comprises of the following sections to be attempted:
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
- Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VRC)
Online registrations for CAT 2015 will start from Thursday, August 6, 2015.
