IIT Palakkad to begin its classes from Aug 5
IIT Palakkad initiated its batch with an orientation programme on August 3, 2015 at its temporary campus named Ahalia Educational Institutions positioned in Kozhipara near Kanjikode.
Students were earlier notified of the temporary residence till August 2, 2015 before 5 pm and hostel accommodations were made functional for the students from August 1, 2015. The temporary campus holds some meaningful facilities such as hostels, lab, libraries, mess hall, modern classrooms, and canteen and transport services.
Currently, the new session will began from August 5, 2015 onwards, and the first lecturer to commence the classes would be Kris Gopalakrishnan, one of the associates of the Academic Advisory Board of IIT Palakkad, IIT Madras, and the Executive Vice Chairman of Infosys.
The prolific institute offers education in 4 streams of B.Tech, which are Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, comprising of 30 seats per stream.
