DRDO organizing research in defence in collaboration with IIT-Kharagpur
With the aim of gaining self-dependency in selective defence technologies through a collaborative research, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) engaged in a Memorandum of Collaboration with IIT-Kharagpur, stating the facts for improvising the situation on to the next level.
Dr. S Christopher, DRDO Director General, and recipient of the honorary Distinguished Alumnus Award at the IIT campus in West Bengal, was present and signed the Memorandum with a motive of providing quality equipment and facilitate proper training and research within the mutual concerns by increasing the resource supplement and improving the technical infrastructure.
The objective of the infusion is to support the research and academic programme and meet the perspectives of defence technological requirements in the selective areas along with enhancing the quality of human resources and knowledge.
The selective areas of research include Cyber Physical Systems, Information Security, Life Science, Energy Storage Devices and Materials and Underwater Vehicles.
