UPTU to instate ranking system for colleges
The Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) has decided to instate a ranking system in place to enhance the education system from upcoming session. Vice-chancellor of the UPTU Vinay Pathak, took the decision regarding the same during a meeting.
The ranking system will be on various parameters like results, Placements, infrastructure, quality of staff, Library, laboratories, etc. This will help students while choosing colleges during admission time.
In a meeting Vinay pathak said, "We are undertaking a massive overhaul of the university. We have invited suggestions from students and teachers in terms of upgradation needed for the university. The UPTU has notified several regulations with the objective of sustenance and improvement in the quality of higher education and for undertaking academic reforms."
He said that the ranking system will be conducted by the teams of UPTU on the basis of the feedbacks obtained from teachers and students. After ranking the colleges, the data will be uploaded on the official website of UPTU. Ranking of the colleges will be examined every year.
"What we want to do is rate colleges on who's offering the best value to students. Apart from this, a society Teachers Welfare Fund will be formed to help out teachers in case of any financial aid needed," added Pathak.
