XAT 2016


Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) will be held on January 3, 2016. This test is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur to facilitate the admission procedure for Master of Business Administration Programme (MBA) of XLRI and other XAT associated member institute. Official notification regarding XAT has been released on the official website. XAT is a paper-pencil based test (offline mode).

Score card of XAT is used by more than 100 institutes for admission process. Registration process for XAT 2016 has started and last date of the registration is November 30. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from a week before the test.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have completed their graduation or its equivalent in any stream from a recognized university (India/Abroad). Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply. Candidates must complete their graduation by June 10

Registration Process:

Candidates interested in XAT 2016 must follow the guidelines given below,

Step 1: log on to www.xatonline.net.in

Step 2: click on the link ‘Register’

Step 3:  After registration you’ll get a unique registration ID on the registered email

Step 4: Candidates need to upload their passport size photograph and signature in required format

Step 5: Select the XAT 2016 Application Form fee payment method

Step 6: Candidates can pay their application fee by VISA/Master Credit/Debit Cards and IDBI Net banking (only for IDBI account holder)

Step 7: Student can also pay the application fee in offline mode. Take a print out of the XAT pay-in-slip and visit the nearest IDBI Bank and make the payment

Step 8: Demand Draft (DD) will be also acceptable in favor of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT" payable at Jamshedpur

Exam Pattern:

XAT 2016 is a paper-pencil based test. The time duration of this exam is three hours, from 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.

Paper Pattern:

XAT consists of two papers. Paper 1 contains multiple choice questions from 3 sections including Quantitative Ability, English Language & Logical Reasoning, and Decision Making and paper 2 consists of both, subjective and objective questions from the areas like General Knowledge and Essay Writing.
