Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) announces Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Scholarship


Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced a scholarship for 50 students belonging to economically deprived sections of the society in the name of the former president of India - Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Prof. Talat Ahmad (Vice Chancellor), made the announcement during an orientation programme in Jamia Milia Islamia, conducted for fresher students in the academic session 2015-2016. Prof. Talat Ahmad also indicated his determination to provide world class education with the help of best learning resources and infrastructure.  

In the presence of over 4000 students, who had gathered in a sport stadium along with their faculty members, Prof. Talat Ahmad said, “quality research is an important benchmark for an institution of higher learning as it enabled us to broaden our knowledge and also kept us abreast of latest developments”.

Prof. Talat Ahmad also talked about the golden opportunities offered in the institution including Jamia Global Alumni Network, Talimi Mela, Distinguished Lecture Series, and Inspirational Talks that could help the students directly and also contribute to their growth.
