Gujarat to organize Global Education Summit
The Human resource Development Ministry (HRDM) will introduce the first international education summit at Gandhinagar, Gujarat in November this year.
In this summit education ministers as well as delegates from more than180 countries are expected to participate. The venue for the summit will be Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, with a seating capacity of 16,000.
A top official of the Gujarat govt. said, “PM Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the summit. Though the summit is being organized by the HRD Ministry, but the Gujarat government is providing all infrastructure and logistical support for the summit”,
He further said “There is a growing demand to create a linkage between education and the industry. Industry and Research has to go hand in hand. Initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Skills India’ and ‘Start-up India, Stand up India’ etc. require education to keep pace with the demands of the markets. The summit is going to clear road for the future,” Various aspects of education will be covered through different rounds of seminars organized in the two-day summit.
In this summit, foreign delegates, scholars from Central Universities, Indian Institutes of Technology and Management and specialists from the field of research and development will also mark their presence.
