Asia's largest Model UN to be conducted by KIIT
Asia's largest Model UN is scheduled to be held from October 30 to November 1, 2015. The event will be conducted by the KIIT, one of the country’s largest private universities. More than 2000 representatives will attend the event from countries like Netherland, Greece and Italy etc.
This event is a model of the United Nation which aims to familiarize the participating delegates, assuming roles of UN representatives, with the working of the world body and the dynamics of international relations. It is an opportunity for students to discuss global issues confronted by world leaders.
With the success gained in the previous two MUNs, this year KIIT has tied up with prestigious MUNs from around the world including Paris International MUN, Rome Model UN, Singapore MUN, Asia Pacific Model UN Conference, MUN of The Hague, Moscow MUN, Balkan MUN, among others.
Stating the reason behind organizing such an event, Nabadip Deb, the secretary General of this year’s conference said “By giving their consent to the Model UNs the student community represents the change they wish to see in the world because it is the youth which can build a safer, more just world by promoting the UN values and principles.”
