100 study centres to offer CS courses in commerce colleges
To open 100 study centres offering CS course to the students, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is all set to tie-up with the best commerce colleges located in the country.
The president of ICSI, Atul H Mehta said that the experienced faculty of ICSI will train the students of these colleges after college hours to help them become qualified company secretaries. All centres shall be opened this year itself, he said.
Since the institute plans to teach over 30 courses online, it is also in talks with prime software companies for the development of e-learning programme.
The new Companies Act 2013 and the wide gap between the demand and supply of company secretaries are two great factors that promote the importance of company secretaries and their growth in the future.
