University of Hyderabad: Online admissions from upcoming academic year
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, Appa Rao Podile, announced that the University will conduct online admission from the upcoming academic year. Currently, only the finance department of the University is partially working on E-governance. Although from next year onwards not only the admission process but some of the other services like certificate verification and filling of examination forms will be online. He said, "The funds given by the University Grants Commission will be utilized for making all the processes online”.
Rao said that the university is also planning to introduce Master in education program from next year onwards. “We are in the process of framing the syllabus for the course. Once it is done, the admissions will be open for aspiring students", he said.
The university will fill the sectioned posts in various departments in order to improve the education quality and research in various departments.
“At present, we have more than 420 teachers on campus. However, 100 more teachers will be recruited next year”.
New changes to be seen are:
- Master in Education course to be introduced.
- Admissions and services like certificate verification, filling of examination forms etc. to made online.
- Recruitment of 100 more teachers to fill up sanctioned posts in the University.
- Promise from VC to strengthen the proctorial board.
