Amity Moot Court Competition won by NLIU Bhopal
Amity International Moot Competition, organized by Amity Law School Noida, was won by The National Law Institute University (NLIU). It’s the first E-Moot competition in India organized at Amity Campus, Noida Sector-125.
A total of 38 teams participated in the competition and NLIU defeated all of them. Some of the institutes that participated are:
- Dr. Ambedkar College, Dept. of Law, Nagpur
- Nepal Law Campus, Kathmandu
- Nepal; Army Institute of Law, Mohali
- Nalsar University of law, Hyderabad
- Symbiosis Law School, Pune; Vivekananda Law School, Delhi
- Amity Law School, Noida
- NMIMS, Mumbai and Sri Lanka law College, Colombo
After a tough competition, Army Institute of Law Mohali; Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala; Hidyatullah National university of Law (HNLU), Raipur and National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal qualified for semifinal round. At last, Army Institute of Law Mohali and National Law Institute University, Bhopal made their places in final round.
The team members Vikram Amrawanshi from National Law Institute University, Bhopal and Ms. Sneha Poddar from University School of Law & Legal Studies bagged the award for “Best Researcher” and “Best Cousel” respectively. GGSIPU, Delhi and National Law University, Cuttack, Odisha have been awarded the “Best Memorial” award.
“Right to freedom of Speech and Expression is under attack and there is an urgent need for an exceptional dose of tolerance, which law colleges are required to teach to the budding professionals,” said Hon’ble Justice Rajeev Bhalla.
“Today is a historic day as Amity in sync with e-governance has organized the first e-moot in India to take the country forward,” said Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, in his speech.
