Summer placements for PGP batch 2017 completed at IIM Kozhikode
Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode has successfully conducted the summer placement drive for its 19th batch of Post Graduate Programme with a record closure in only 6.5 days. This batch contains a total of 349 students.
More than 100 reputed companies participated in the recruitment drive. The highest stipend offered in this institute was INR 3 lakh and the average stipend increased by 32% to INR 1.06 lakh.
Some of the top recruiters participating in the recruitment drive were companies such as Accenture Strategy, EY, Nestle, Shell, Perfetti Van Melle, D.E.Shaw, Homelane, Xerox, Boehringer Ingelheim, OYO Rooms, Sony and many others participated in this recruitment process. Accenture Strategy, Deutsche Bank, EY, HUL, JP Morgan, Philips and Vodafone made the most number of offers –a total of 52 offers. Boston Consulting Group also made its maiden entry into the campus and recruited 5 students for its Consulting profile.

The placements season drawing to a close in a record 6.5 days reiterates the recruiters’ faith in the students’ capabilities to deliver,” said Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Director IIMK.

Airtel, Reliance, TAS, Mahindra and RPG offerd General Management profile to the students in various sectors.
About 35% of the students from the PGP batch were selected by renowned companies such as L’Oreal, Godrej, Shell, Kelloggs, HUL, Nestle, ITC, Philips, Perfetti Van Melle, Marico, Asian Paints, Vodafone, Pidilite, HCCB, Raymond, Idea etc.
21% of the students were offered profiles in investment banking, risk advisory, capital markets, corporate finance, retail banking and global investment research by companies such as Goldman Sachs, Altisource, Axis Bank, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, J P Morgan, Nomura, Ocwen, ICICI, CRISIL, Edelweiss and Dell Finance.
Companies like TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, eBay, Mindtree and EMC offered Technology Consulting and IT profiles to the students. Some major startup firms such as OYO Rooms, Homelane, Snapdeal, Hector Beverages, Ziffi and others recruited 10% of the students to take up challenging profiles in upcoming business models.
