11 Universities of Taiwan to tie-up with Amity University
To discuss about the potential areas of collaboration between Amity University and Educational Institutions of Taiwan, a delegation of the Taiwan Higher Education Exposition (THEE) visited Amity University at sector 125, Noida.
11 universities of Tiwan were represented by the delegation namely, National Tsing Hua University, Taipei Medical University, National Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University, WuFeng University, National Dong hwa University, Chang Jung Christian University, Nanhua University, Tamkang University, Chaoyang University of Technology, Kaohsiung Medical University along with Taiwan Education Centre in India.
During the event Dr. B Shukla- Vice Chancellor, Amity University said that the Taiwan Education center established in June, 2012 in association with National Tsing Hua University was an initiative kindled to solidify the collaboration between India and Taiwan. The initiative launched courses such as Mandarian and Chinese Languages to the students of Amity with the help of eminent Mandarian language experts from Taiwan.
Senior Vice President for Global Affairs, National Tsing Hua University Mr. William Anthony Stanton commended Amity for establishing Taiwan Educational center after appreciating the facilities and infrastructure offered by Amity University. Co-Director of Program office of Taiwan Education Centre in India Mr. Wang, Wei-Chung also commended the excellence in education and research provided by Amity.
Some significant areas of collaboration that were broached during the discussion included mutual collaboration for PhD Research Projects, Short Projects duration 3-6 months in B. Tech Programmes, Masters’ Dissertation, Industry Collaborations, Student and Faculty Exchange Programmes, Joint Patents, Joint Technology Development and Bilateral programmes.
