JEE Advanced 2016: New official website launched


IIT Guwahati has launched the new official website of JEE Advanced 2016. The website came online on October 24. This year JEE Advanced will be administered by IIT Guwahati to facilitate admission process in various undergraduate engineering programs.

JEE Advanced is likely to be conducted May 22, 2016 (Tentative). Students will be given an option to choose the language of the question paper during registration process. There will be only two languages valid in this exam, Hindi and English. If any student got absent in one paper then he will be considered as absent in whole examination.

Eligibility details:

The candidate must have ranked amongst top 150,000 students in JEE Main examination. Percentage required for different categories is given below:

Attempts:

There are a maximum of two consecutive attempts allowed for JEE. If a student wants to take admission into IITs and ISM, then the candidate must have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate (70% for SC/ST/PWD) in class 12.

Age limitation:

Age of the candidates belonging to general or OBC, should not be more than 25 years. Relaxation in the age will be provided as per the rules and regulations constituted by Indian Government.
