Punjab University’s PG diploma course in Homeland Security
Department of Defence and National Security Studies of Punjab University has started a one-year post-graduate diploma course in Homeland Security.
The university had an agreement on counter rapid terrorism. The course will give an advantage to the retired, serving defence officials and intelligence wings across the country.
The course will contain both technical as well as theoretical knowledge of terrorist and natural calamity. The selection of the students will be made through an entrance test which will conducted by the university. About 25 seats will be available for the course.
To initiate the internal security system of the country, Punjab University’s introduction of such a course is a first of its kind. Various universities from US and Europe are already commencing the course on combat and focusing on terrorism.
The University will get INR 50 crore soon, to initiate the process.
