To help reach world’s top 100, 10 higher education institutes to be funded by Centre
The Center is looking forward to select 10 educational institutes to offer them assistance in order to help them take a place in the world’s top 100 institutes on global academic rankings.
The human Resource Development (HRD) ministry has made the list of institutes, which are among top 500 institutes in global ranking and have potential to perform better in future. Some of the best IITs are also considered in this list. The institutes drawn in this list are IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and Indian Institute of Science Bangalore.
This year two Indian institutes namely, IIT Delhi and IISc Bangalore, have made their places among top 200 higher educational institutes on the QS Global Ranking 2015. The Center is getting ready to pump in sufficient fund in 10 top Indian educational foundations to help them move up the count.
