Baburaoji Gholap College (BGC), Pune, was set up in 1941, through great efforts and visions of supreme communal activist, Hon'ble Baburaoji Ramchandra Gholap, with a motto in mind of 'Bahujan Hitaya Bahujan Sukhay' (in the welfare of all common people). Being allied to Pune University and certainly qualified by NAAC with ?B? Grade, the courses involve specialization in the field of Arts, Commerce, Computer Sciences, Language, Sciences, Biology and Electronics on Undergraduate and Post graduate level.

The Parent Institution P.D.E.A., aburaoji Ramachandra Gholap and his colleagues with a vision and mission "Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhay" (well-being of all and welfare of all). The prime objective behind starting this educational Institution is to provide educational facilities to poor people, especially in the rural areas of Pune District.
The association runs different branches like Pre-Primary Schools, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Higher Secondary Schools, Vocational Courses, Senior Colleges (Multifaculty), Ayurved College and Research Centers, Pharmacy Colleges, Management Institutes, Polytechnic Institutes, Engineering College, Law College and D.
