Tarini completed her JD from Syracuse University College of Law in 2006, and is admitted to the Bar in India, and the State of New York. She gained valuable experience in contract negotiation and drafting, legal research, analysis and drafting at GE Capital International Services before taking up a career in academia, and heads legal training at Rainmaker.
Kunal graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the Delhi University in 2004. He then worked with GE Capital International Services until 2005, and then with Career Launcher India Limited, one of Indias leading test-preperatory organisations, as National Academic Coordinator for LST. Kunal is now the subject head for logical reasoning at Rainmaker, and also manages all operational aspects of Rainmakers training programmes.
Bhavin is an alumnus of the N.L.S.I.U., Bangalore and began his career with the legal department of ITC Ltd. He also enjoyed a successful stint with Bombay law firm DSK Legal before moving to head Legal Training at LST (across 30 cities) where he was in large part responsible for LST's performance at the law school admission exams. Bhavin currently heads Education Services for Rainmaker, overseeing the development and delivery of Rainmaker's training programmes for the entire legal industry.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established in 1985 with the aim to provide cost-effective, quality education to large sections of population in India including those living in remote and far flung areas. Since its inception IGNOU has carved a niche for itself among the premier educational institutions in the country. The University has been a pioneer in Distance Education and the recipient of the Centre of Excellence in Distance Education award conferred by the Commonwealth of Learning in 1993. As an Open University, IGNOU has come a long way since 1985, having crossed national boundaries providing higher education as well as assisting other developing countries in this regard.
IGNOU has two main functions:
The School of Law (SOL) was established in 2005 with an objective of imparting legal education through open and Distance learning system. This school aims to create awareness about legal rights and responsibilities in the emerging world order. The School strives to ensure high quality education and research through innovative, multi-media leraning teaching packages with a focus on learning practical aspects of law, acquiring legal skills and scholarship.
Recogninsing the importance of legal education and demand for the programmes in Law, IGNOU constituted a five member Committee in 1994 under the Chairmanship of Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon an eminent legal educationist. Prof. Menons Committee suggested developing professional programmes in Law including programmess in Paralegal education, court administration, law office management oriented legal education for middle and top level personnel in government and industry. The UGC Curriculum Development Centre in Law (CDC) setup in 1990 under the leadership of Prof. Upendra Baxi, an eminent jurist also underscored the importance of Distance education in law inclusive legal education for wider participation in legal profession, judicial appointments and government law offices.
The School of law organized a Brain storming Session in June, 2007 to prepare a road map for legal education in India. The important recommendations of the Brain storming Session enabled the School of law to Plan and Develop a range of programme in School of law, including Masters in Intellectual Property Law.

Founders of Rainmaker are all alumni of the N.L.S.I.U., Bangalore and came together to form Rainmaker after garnering valuable experience working with various sectors of the legal industry.
Sachin Malhan began his career with Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai. Since leaving AMSS in 2003, Sachin led LST (http://www.lawentrance.com) through a period of robust growth. LST is Indias largest law preparatory organisation, with more than 32 city-centres and 4000 students in training; almost 60% of all students at all major law schools today are its alumni. Sachin is currently the co-founder and CEO of Inclusive Planet (http://www.inclusiveplanet.com), a technology platform focused on providing services to the differently abled.
Sachin sits on the Board of Directors of Rainmaker, and works with the internal teams on long-term strategy with respect to technology and legal education. Sachin can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Nikhil Chandra worked with AZB & Partners, Mumbai for five years, post graduation. During this period Nikhil garnered valuable experience in several areas of commercial law, primarily M&A, securities and capital markets, and at the time of his departure was spearheading the securities and capital markets practice of the firm. Nikhil has been listed by Chambers and Partners as one of India s leading capital markets lawyers, and after five years of wide-ranging legal experience and exposure, left to oversee Rainmaker s entire business and operations.

Ritvik Lukose began his career with Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai. At Amarchand Mangaldas, he handled a diverse portfolio of transactions ranging from M&A deals to Structured Finance and Capital Markets. After three years of broad experience, Ritvik left to build and spearhead Rainmakers talent management services.
