Placement Services

The candidates undergoing Post Graduate Research Programmes are eligible to be designated as Trainee Scientists as per the QHS Scheme. There are a certain number of positions as such, which are mentioned on CSIR's website.

On successful completion of the M.Tech with distinction, the Trainee Scientists (TS) will be eligible to be considered by CSIR for absorption in CSIR as Scientists in Pay Band-3 of the Government of India (Scale Rs. 15600 - 39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- plus other allowances as applicable).

Quick Hire Fellow (QHF) positions are also available for meritorious candidates for which Quick Hire Fellowships may be utilised by the individual CSIR laboratories.

NET Engineering and GATE (JRF) qualified candidates will be eligible to apply for Integrated M.Tech-Ph.D. programme. If selected, they will obtain stipend (JRF/ SRF) from CSIR-EMR for completing the M.Tech and Ph.D. programs.

Infrastructure / Teaching Facilities

The institute is setup on a 257 acre land, situated in Dehradun, on NH-72 the capital of Uttarakhand. Its annual budget is around 18 crores.

The institution is under indirect supervision of Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of india. It has over the years applied for more than 185 patents in India & 29 patents abroad.
