World Marketing Congress (WMC) is a theme based flagship event of IMM that was started in 1971. This forum facilitates development and promotion of marketing interaction and economic social relations between India and different regions of the world by identifying economic opportunities available and developing appropriate marketing strategies to put India on the global map. It has worked as a catalytic agent to aid Governments, Trade, Industry & Academia through Conferences and Research work. In accordance with the same, IMM identified the Changing Marketing Dynamics today in the 39th WMC; focused on Eastern Africa in the 38th WMC; contributed to activities for South Asia with SAARC Countries in the 37th WMC, took a look on the Central Asian Countries in the 36th WMC and explored India & the Arab World in the 35th WMC, amongst many others.
This annual event is an ideal platform for the students to interact with over 250 delegates from India and overseas to widen their horizons, thus opening global opportunities.
The 40th World Marketing Congress is on "India & the Gulf: Collaboration & Cooperation"on February 11-12, 2014 at The Grand, New Delhi. Business Quiz: As a part of Student Development Program, Business Quiz is conducted by IMM on a regular basis. The purpose of Business quiz is to enhance the knowledge of Management students and make them aware of the latest happening in the global scenario. Live-Industry Projects Management Students of IMM have been regularly involved with lot of Live Industry projects during the ongoing Semester. The short term industry projects involve on the job assignments, such as Research work, Data analysis, Survey, Retail operations etc. Such projects are very useful for students overall exposure and personality development. Industry Visits At IMM, we believe that learning can be tremendously emphasized when theory is combined with the practical knowledge, experience and follow a much focused industry based course curriculum. Keeping this as focus, we have included regular visits of our students to companies, their production and manufacturing set ups, factories etc as a part of their curriculum. Since the last few years, PGDM students have been regularly visiting places like Ports and Terminals, Manufacturing Set Ups of companies like Haldiram, Parle G, Maruti udyog, Indian Oil Corporation, Yakult etc., to be able to understand the concept of Operations and Supply Chain Management. IMM Anniversary Celebration Institute of Marketing & Management (IMM) has a strong legacy of 45 years of dynamism and success. Every year, on 14th August, IMM celebrates its Founders Day with great Pride and Galore. This year, the Founders Day was celebrated by organising a conference on Entrepreneuship titled "Saluting Indian Entrepreneurship" at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The Conference was inaugurated by Shri.Kalraj Mishra, Honble Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) as Chief Guest, followed with a special address by Ms. Pratibha Advani, Managing Director, Swayam Infotainment Private Limited and Dr. Anil Kumar Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, Amrapali Group as Guest of Honour. The Conference focused on some of the relevant issues taken up by the Entrepreneurs in the areas like, mentoring the young generation entrepreneurs, Funding and Financial options, Women Entrepreneurs and Social Entrepreneurship. Education Day IMM celebrates National Education Day on 11th November every year on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Shri. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The Institute has been celebrating this important day, since many years with great excitement and enthusiasm. The entire day is packed with lot of student activities. Several competitive events such as Elocution, Slogan Writing, Poetry and Education Quiz are held in which the students participate actively. Teacher s Day 5th September i.e. Teachers Day is celebrated every year at the IMMs Convention Centre with great enthusiasm and fun. The event is inaugurated with the opening remarks of IMMs Director. The day is celebrated with immense spirit and zest and a strong participation of all of our management students. Series of events like Street Play, Skits, Dance, Singing, are organized under the able supervision of Students Cultural Group. International Women s Day As a token of Respect, Appreciation and Love towards Women, IMM celebrates International Womens Day on 7th March, annually. The institute celebrates this day in its true spirit by organizing different events, highlighting on the Economic, Political and Social Achievements of Women. Top Management Club Top Management Club is one of the premier units from the house of Institute of Marketing & Management, a reputed registered society having various activities. Orientation Program Every year, IMM welcomes its new batch of PGDM students by conducting Orientation Program. The purpose of Orientation is to introduce the students to the Institutes Top Management, its Legacy, Mission and Vision. Rotaract Installation Ceremony Institute of Marketing & Management is affiliated to Rotary club of Delhi Garden city, New Delhi, for almost a decade. IMM students have played an active role in Rotary activities and have formed a Rotaract club, under the aegis of Rotary Club, Garden City, and New Delhi. Every year, IMM organizes Rotaract Club installation ceremony with great excitement and spirit. New office bearers are elected from the present student members of IMM Rotaract club. Convocation Ceremony IMM has been organizing convocation ceremony, for its students who have completed the PGDM course successfully. During the ceremony, IMM graduates are congratulated and felicitated by the Chief Guest. Students, with exceptional performances, receive various awards apart from the regular PGDM Diploma certificate. The Session is concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the Institutes Director and group photographs of all the IMM Graduates along with the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor. Faculty Development Program Faculty Development Program (FDP) is one of the most important stepping stone for creating a world class Management Institute.
