Govt. Domestic Science Training college was established in the year 1951 and has emerged as one of the oldest Govt. Institutions. Established under the Department of Technical Education, it has been providing education in various fields of sciences for the past 6 decades. It is located in East Marredpally, in the same campus of Institute of Electronics. GDSTC offers 3-year programme after 10th class to pursue diploma in Home Science.
DSTC encourages students to learn various interesting subjects enabling them to become successful and skilled professionals in the areas. Many of the GDSTC are now working as teachers, dieticians, Air-Hostess, Receptionists, Interior decorators, while others have started small business like beauty clinics, boutiques with reasonable budgets; and also good wives and mothers.
