About College

The D. B. S. College established by Late Dr. Virendra Swarup with a vision of expressing academic services to a large number of incoming refugees, without any discrimination on the basis of caste, color and sex, who saw solace in this city after the crucial time of Independence. It started functioning in the year 1959, and holds a respective affiliation from C. S. J. M. University, Kanpur in present times. This institution imparts education for many undergraduate courses like B.A (General, Geography), B.Sc. (Mathematics, Biology, Computer Application, Industrial Microbiology, Electronics and Environmental Science), B.Ed., and B.Com with certain post-graduate courses like M.A. (Economics, English, Hindi, History, Sanskrit, Political Science, Geography, Education and Sociology), M.Sc. (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Electronics and Microbiology).

Institute Description

Dayanand  Brajendra Swarup College, Kanpur was established in the year 1959. The college was put up with the mission of imparting quality and value based education to its students. DBS is an educational community where students of different religions and cultural backgrounds study and work together in a most compatible atmosphere. The Institute stands as a hallmark of higher education and is harnessed to provide maximum scholastic benefit to its students

• At present the college is functioning both in aided and self finance modes
