The University of Jammu offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, the admissions to which is done through the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET) conducted by it. The admissions to various courses like MCA, MA, M.Sc., and MBA etc. Courses from numerous disciplines of study are offered by this University.

The candidates wishing to pursue courses offered at the Jammu University must have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the University of Jammu. The exams will be held for courses like Economics Hindi Botany, Economics in Public Specialization Education History Home Science Microbiology Rural Development, Commerce, English and many more.

The eligibility criterion varies with the exam in which the candidate is appearing.  The details specifying eligibility criterion for different subjects are given in the prospectus published by the University. The candidates can get the prospectus by visiting the official website of the University. 

The duration of the examination will be two and a half hours in which the candidates will have to answer a total of 150 questions. The candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every right answer. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.  To be eligible for the admission the candidates must score more than 30% marks in the entrance examination (25% for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories).

A merit list will be created on the basis of the scores secured by the candidates in the entrance exam. The ranks obtained by the candidates will be the basis on which the candidates will be called for the counseling process and the final allotment of seats.
