Karnataka Examination Authority claims to be a recognized authority conducting Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) provided within the genre of Engineering and Technology, and acts as a suitability meter so as to provide admissions on undergraduate level. Last year, KCET 2014 took place in over 52 different places over the territory of Karnataka, and an estimate of around 1 lakh 37 thousand applicants competed for admissions in approximately 220 engineering colleges.

  • Candidates must incur 10+2 or equivalent secondary exam passing documents and certificates with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
  • Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer-Science/Electronics/Biology comprises of optional subjects with English as a major language. A cumulative of 45% is required to be scored in them.
  • Your eligibility and application should meet the residential verification as specified.
  • Selection will be based on scores incurred in KCET 2015.

The question paper will be objective based, and in two sections. The first section will constitute of Physics and Chemistry and second one will be subjected entirely towards Maths. Total time allotted would be 230 minutes, dividing 150 for first and 80 for second. Every correct answer will be rewarded with 1 mark. No negative marking is there.

  • Application fees comprise of Rs. 650 for general and Rs.500 for SC, ST and OBC. Application fees is payable via Bank Challan or DD drawn in indulgence towards Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore till March 4, 2015.
  • Forms are available from any respective school or college located within Karnataka only after yielding in a KEA copy of the Bank Challan.
  • All the particulars and specifications should be filled and uploaded along with an imprint of candidate’s left thumb impression in the provided space.
  • Forms are easily submitted to the principal from the respective colleges or schools.
  • Also, collect the admit cards issued on the mentioned dates.
