COMEDK UGET proves to be another major entrance level examination steered by Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka seeking admissions within the interface of Engineering and Medical Science undergraduate courses over several affiliated institutes. The examination is conducted on a state level basis, and happens to be an undergraduate level exam. In 2014, there were at least 96,100 appearances in the entrance exam out of which 38,295 applied for engineering courses.

The examination is conducted on a state level basis, and happens to be an undergraduate level exam.   • Applicants applying for COMEDK UGET must have cleared their class 12th exam or 2nd PUC from any recognized university or education board.
  • Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects and candidates must achieve an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/STOBC candidates of Karnataka) in these subjects combined.
  • Physics and Maths are bound to be compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology or any other technical vocational course as an optional subject.
  • English should be a compulsory subject in the qualifying exam.
  • Lateral entries are not entertained, so Diploma students are not found eligible at all.
  • Selection is based on COMEDK UGET 2015 scoring.

The paper consists of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as their main subjects with a total of 180 questions divided into 60 questions each. Total time provided would be 3 hours at max and candidates have to fill the answer in the provided OMR sheet. According to the marking scheme, 1 mark will be provided for every correct answer except there would be no negative marking included. If any candidate has written two simultaneous answers for the same question, it will be regarded wrong. Another point is that if the score proves to be a draw, then the checking authority will administer your wrong/unattended answers so as to look for the final conclusion.

Registration process starts online from March 2, 2015, and candidates have to pay the desired fees accordingly through DD payable and drawn in favor of COMEDK, Bangalore:

  • Rs.1,200 (for candidates appearing for Physics, Chemistry and Maths)
  • Rs.1,500 (for candidates applying for Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology)

Counseling will take place within two divisions. Candidates need to bring their original documents during the time of sessions so as to get it verified from the helpdesk, and need to pay Rs 50,000 by DD in favor of "COMEDK" payable at Bangalore. Seat allotment is done after you have paid the fees and are chosen for counseling with seat selection.
