The aspiring candidate for MICAT Examination must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or an AIU approved institution and the candidate must have also appeared for one of the given management entrance exams that are CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA or GMAT.
The candidates will have to register themselves by going to the MICA’s official website and filling out the application form. The candidates are also required to make the payment of the examination fee in the MICA website to complete the application process for MICA 2015.
The MICAT is a paper-pencil based exam. The MICAT paper is divided into two sections which are Section I and Section II. The first section consists of four descriptive type questions. The section contains questions on writing arguments, essay and story. The second section is again divided into three parts which are Psychometric Test, Reasoning and Verbal Ability and General Knowledge. There is sectional-time cutoff in this exam. A candidate gets 35 minutes to attempt the first section which does not involve any negative marking and 90 minutes to attempt the second section.
The performance of the candidate in the MICAT 2015 and the score secured in CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA or GMAT will be the basis of shortlisting process. The candidates who are shortlisted by MICA are then invited for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview. The final selection of the candidate will be totally based on the final performance scores secured in the end.
MICA, Ahmedabad (Mudra institution of Mass Communications) is the only institution that will consider the scores secured by the candidates in the MICAT exam.
